Of course our homepage wouldn't be complete without some
spiffy pictures and weird descriptions about our members. Some of these descriptions
have been provided by the members themselves, and some have been made up
by the webmaintainer.

Chad Bullock
Chairman
Third year member of GUTS.
He has been in the acting world since the ripe age of 17.
He hails from a small town in the U.S. and has migrated to these flat
lands for love... and the food, of course. He has a passion for most
things dark and creepy, but don't let the exterior fool you. His
favourite color is neon pink. He shall be portraying the role of Möbius in
The Physicists.
Most likely to engage in random acts of pyromania in a fireworks factory.

Dawn Bullock
Production leader
Second year member of GUTS.
She is currently writing her MA dissertation for English Language and Culture,
and sings and follows ballet classes in her spare time. She enjoys working
behind the scenes more than taking the stage, but has rare moments of
exhibitionism... the innocent kind. Also commonly called 'purple panda'
or 'the crazy cat lady'.
Most likely to be the dawn of a new era in the history of GUTS or at least in its chairman's life.

|
Orly Kadosh
First year member of GUTS.
It is Orly's first year as a member of GUTS but she is not new to
touching people. When not in the theatre, she uses her hands as a
massage therapist to make people feel better. At GUTS, she puts the
same energy into her performance.
Most likely to secretly be the Stig.

|
Hayat Makkie
First year member of GUTS.
She has come from the distant lands of Maastricht, possibly because
she wanted to get as far away from it as possible, and well, Groningen
is pretty far away. One day soon, she'd like to study English at
the Rijksuniversiteit.
Most likely to chair the Robert Pattinson fanclub.

|
Jantien Siebring
Second year member of GUTS.
After some time in the English department, Jantien realised that
becoming a speech therapist is far more her thing, so that's what
she's currently working on. She also runs a mental asylum in her spare
time, as part of becoming the perfect Doctor von Zahnd in The Physicists.
Most likely to perform Disney's Hercules all by herself.
|
|
|
Edmée Sierts
Director The Physicists
Fourth year member of GUTS.
This being her directing debut, Edmée is very keen to make The Physicists a success.
She means to do this by being dedicated, greatly motivating and, at times, a bit
pretentious. Highly tolerant of lactose-related products, she can be ensnared
into doing almost anything provided there is cheese afterwards.
Most likely to build a Willem Dafoe statue out of cheese and mustard

Johan Stapert
Second year member of GUTS.
Johan is an avid fan of Doctor Who, and as such has made it his life's
ambition to one day become the Doctor. Not the acting role, he actually wants
to be a Time Lord and travel through time and space. Maybe playing
Newton in The Physicists will give him the necessary scientific knowledge
to build his own TARDIS.
Most likely to wake up in an unknown location and shrug it off as a good night.

|
|
Maike Timmerman
Secretary
First year member of GUTS.
Maike has studied English for some time now, and has informed us that before
she came to Groningen, she actually lived on the bottom of the ocean. Unfortunately,
she had Spongebob Squarepants as her neighbour, and after a few months he became too
annoying and she moved out. She vows to get revenge on him one day.
Most likely to marry a barrel of Guinness.
|
|
|
TJ Veen
Treasurer
Second year member of GUTS.
Rather than a biography, TJ wanted to turn this space into an advertisement
for Stranger Things Have Happened, an
English speaking improv comedy group in Groningen he's a member of. Through the grapevine
we've heard that the Strangers are very amusing, especially after a few drinks.
Most likely to have a giant mechanical elephant in his shed.
|
|
|
Edo de Vlieger
First year member of GUTS.
Edo won the first season of Popstars in the Netherlands, which is something not a lot of people know,
because let's face it, nobody actually remembers the people who win these kinds of contests. Afterwards,
Edo discovered that theatre is way more fun than having Henkjan Smits tell you that you're going to be a
popstar, which is why he joined GUTS. That, and we don't have Gerard Joling.
Most likely to achieve the worldrecord for the longest playing of Guitar Hero.
|
|
|
Joe Wilcox
Second year member of GUTS.
Joe has come back to GUTS after a break of a couple of years. He used the time away
from theatre to study the sacred art of being a ninja in Asia, and as such
is now a lethal killing machine who can flip out of nowhere with great ease. Other
hobbies include making a life-size Eiffel Tower out of popsicle sticks.
Most likely to end up on the main stage of Lowlands with his band.
